The Opelu Hybrid Race Paddle is our newest hybrid paddle. We reduced the teardrop entry for a more squared off tip, resulting in an incredible "locked" feel on the catch. The blade holds solid pressure throughout the power phase and releases with ease. Paddlers, especially OC1 paddlers, give this blade high marks because of the superior catch and load.
This paddle has a vertical wood shaft for unparalleled strength. Our "D" grip wood handle adds comfort as well as an ergonomic advantage throughout the stroke. We also offer a carbon handle. Our dihedral adds strength and stability throughout the entire power phase. The Opelu comes with a double-bend shaft (straight shaft upon request).
